LIVE Murder probe as man found dead following 'altercation' at Oldham house - updates
Emergency services are on the scene following an incident at a property in Oldham.
Police were scrambled to a property Counthill Road in the Moorside area of the town at around 1.20am this morning (October 10). There had been reports of an "altercation".
Officers from Greater Manchester Police found a 61-year-old man dead on arrival. His next of kin have been informed and his family are being supported by specialist officers.

The force has since confirmed a 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody for questioning. A cordon remains in place as detectives carry out enquiries into the tragedy.

“There were loads of police cars and ambulances here this morning, all the works,” a homeowner on nearby Almond Road has said. “Detectives have been knocking on houses saying it was a serious incident” @MENnewsdesk
