LIVE Marcin Majerkiewicz sentenced to life for killing housemate Stuart Everett and dismembering body - updates

A killer who murdered and dismembered his housemate before dumping his body parts across Greater Manchester has been sentenced to life in prison.

Stuart Everett, 67, was brutally murdered in his own home after being hit over the head with a weapon. Parts of his body were discovered in green spaces across Salford and north Manchester.

Marcin Majerkiewicz, 42, who lived with Stuart at the home they shared on Worsley Road in Winton, Eccles, will receive a life sentence after being found guilty of murder.

A murder investigation was launched after human remains were discovered by a member of the public at Kersal Dale in Salford on April 4 last year.

Further remains were discovered at Linnyshaw Colliery Woods and Blackleach Country Park in Walkden, land off Chesterfield Close in Winton and Boggart Hole Clough in Blackley. Only about a third of Stuart’s body has been recovered.
