LIVE: Manchester Airport website goes down as Russian 'hackers' claim responsibility

A cyberattack brought down Manchester Airport's website, with a Russian group claiming responsibility. The website was unavailable this afternoon (October 30).

Operations at the airport, including flights, are unaffected by the incident and passengers are not expected to face disruption as a result of it. It comes as the Russian group UserSec claims to be targeting UK airports in a series of attacks today.

The group says Manchester Airport is the first which it is targeting. In a post on Telegram, the group claims the site will be down until 8.30pm Moscow time (5.30pm in Manchester), but the site was back up and running by 4.15pm UK time.
