Fresh appeal to find mum and four-year-old son who disappeared six weeks ago

A fresh appeal has been issued to find a mum and her four-year-old son who disappeared almost six weeks ago. Qingxia Wu, 36, and her son Jayden Li were reported missing on Tuesday, September 19.

The pair are from the Liverpool suburb of Kirkdale. Police believe that, following enquiries conducted in recent weeks, the pair could be in the Walton area of the city - particularly near to County Road.

But Qingxia is also known to have links to Bedford and Northamptonshire. A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Since their disappearance, officers have carried out extensive enquiries to find them and are now appealing to anyone who may have seen Qingxia and Jayden to come forward."

Qingxia is described by Merseyside Police as south east Asian, 5ft 3in tall and of slim build, with shoulder length black hair and brown eyes. She can speak English, however her main language is Cantonese.

Jayden is described by police as south east Asian, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone who sees Qingxia and Jayden, or has information on their whereabouts, is urged to contact Merseyside Police on its website, on social media via @MerPolCC or by calling 101.
