LIVE: Main road shut after serious crash with air ambulance at scene

A main road in Oldham has been closed off after a crash between a car and a motorbike.

Oldham Road in Grasscroft is currently shut both ways near the Farrars Arms pub. Police said they were called to reports of the crash at around 10.20am.

Paramedics are also on the scene. The extent of injuries is unknown at this stage.

A tweet posted by MancTraffic said queues were building on the road up to the incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to the scene at around 10.20am.

The crash involves a motorbike and a car, the spokesperson added.
