LIVE M60 traffic updates as emergency services called to incident

Emergency services are at the scene of an 'incident on the M60 motorway tonight (Friday, July 4).

The incident is reported on the clockwise carriageway at Junction 22 (Failsworth).

A number of fire engines and ambulances are reported to be at the scene.

The precise nature of the incident, which was first reported around 7pm, is unclear at this stage.

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "One lane closed due to police incident on M60 clockwise at J22 (Failsworth)."
