LIVE: Long delays and queues on M60 after crash - traffic updates

Drivers are facing long delays on a major Manchester motorway this afternoon after an accident involving a lorry and a motorbike.

National Highways are warning of delays of 30 minutes following the incident on the M60 clockwise before junction two for A560 Stockport Road (Cheadle Roscoes Roundabout).

Two out of three lanes are currently closed with traffic building as motorists take to the roads for the bank holiday weekend. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say the accident happened at around 3:30pm.

The force say it is unclear if the motorcyclist needs hopsital treatment, but he is not believed to be seriously injured.

Traffic has now returned to normal levels on the M60.

Greater Manchester Police told the Manchester Evening News the accident happened at around 3:30 pm. A male motorcyclist is in stable condition but it is unclear if he needs hospital treatment. There have been no arrests.
