Holiday traffic has caused long delays on several parts of the M4 ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend. There are several pinch-points with queues on the motorway, with queues of around 40 minutes outside Cardiff.

Other roads are also seeing congestion, especially the A40 near Carmarthen. For those heading to Bristol Airport, traffic on sections of the M5 is also looking busy on traffic maps.

The majority of the queues are heading eastbound, however, some stretches of the westbound carriageway are also slowing down. Traffic Wales is warning motorists to allow extra time for their journeys.
