LIVE: Huge delays on M62 as car overturns with police and paramedics at the scene - latest updates

Lanes have been closed on the M62 after a car overturned.

Paramedics and police are working at the scene of the incident, on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway between junction 11 at Birchwood and junction 12 for Eccles.

On X, formerly Twitter, officers from the North West Motorway Police said: "#M62 EB between J11 & J12 there are currently 3 lanes out of 4 closed due to an overturned vehicle.

"Ourselves and ambulance are attending and lane 1 has a red X over it from J11 to allow emergency services access to the scene."

It's understood that there have not been any serious injuries during the incident. The overturned vehicle is a van.

2 lanes (of 4) are closed on the #M62 eastbound between J11 #Warrington and J12 (#M60) following a collision.
