LIVE: Heavy traffic and delays on M60 after multiple crashes - latest updates
Traffic is heavy on parts of the M60 this morning after multiple crashes.
According to traffic alert service Inrix, one lane is shut at junction 16 for Pendlebury on the clockwise carriageway after a two-car smash.
Traffic was temporarily stopped for a short time but has since been released.
There are long delays up to the accident with congestion back to junction 21 for the Eccles Interchange and M62.
There is also heavy traffic at junction four on the clockwise carriageway for the M56 Sharston Link.
One lane is blocked on the exit slip road after a crash.
Congestion is back to junction 23 for Ashton-under-Lyne and travel time through the area is currently around 40 minutes.
