A cordon is in place in Gorton this morning (October 11) after violence broke out last night.
Locals reported seeing more than a dozen emergency service vehicles, including armed police, on and around Wayland Road in the Ryder Brow area on Friday night.
A footpath that runs from Wayland Road to Winning Hill Close, both off Ryderbrow Road, remains taped off this morning.
Specialist, forensic crime scene investigation (CSI) officers are at the scene this morning (Saturday, October 11).
The Manchester Evening News understands officers are investigating an incident of 'violent disorder.'

Locals have said there was a massive emergency service response in the area around 11pm last night.
There were more than 10 paramedic vehicles alone spotted, including an incident response unit.
There were also reports of armed officers attending.
