LIVE Flooding, weather alerts and road closures as thunderstorm hits Manchester - updates
Flooding and thunder has been reported across Greater Manchester as a storm sweeps across the country.
Temperatures have risen to 27C in parts of our region, with a huge yellow weather warning in place, with parts of the area also covered by a smaller but more severe amber warning.
Hot weather gave way to heavy rain this evening just as Manchester City's treble winning parade was getting underway. The even was delayed for more than an hour with organisers concerned about thunder.

Flooding has also been reported in Salford, Altincham and other parts of Greater Manchester after the torrential rain hit.

Stormy weather and thunder could continue for hours into the night in Manchester, the Met Office predicts.
Temperatures will drop no lower than 24C before midnight, dropping down to a low of 19C at 6am.
Gusts will be strong throughout the night too, with winds reaching 18mph at times.
Rain is likely to have stopped by midnight.
