LIVE Flooding, weather alerts and road closures as thunderstorm hits Manchester - updates

Flooding and thunder has been reported across Greater Manchester as a storm sweeps across the country.

Temperatures have risen to 27C in parts of our region, with a huge yellow weather warning in place, with parts of the area also covered by a smaller but more severe amber warning.

Hot weather gave way to heavy rain this evening just as Manchester City's treble winning parade was getting underway. The even was delayed for more than an hour with organisers concerned about thunder.
