LIVE: Apple iPhone 15 launch as new phone prices and pre orders set to be revealed

A major Apple iPhone 15 event, otherwise known as as 'Wanderlust', will take place at 6pm BST Tuesday, September 12, or 10am local time in California. The event is expected to launch the next generation of the new phone.

Once the phone arrives fans will have to wait a short while before it’s released. Last year the launch of the iPhone 14 saw pre orders open that same week and we expect pre orders for the new iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro Max to go live later this week on Friday, September 15.

The phones will then go on wider sale with networks on Friday, September 22. We expect a starting price for the iPhone 15 Pro is could increase by $100 (£80) to $1,099 (£880).

The iPhone 15 is just hours away from being launched by Apple, as it's set to launch four new smartphones. With the newer range comes a welcome price drop on the soon-to-be predecessor iPhone 14 range, despite only launching this time last year.

As the discounts start to appear, Tesco Mobile is currently offering the biggest £252 price drop on the standard iPhone 14 model. It's only available on the iPhone 14 with 100GB of data, as it's reduced from £45.99 a month to £38.99, a huge £252 saving across the full 36-month plan.
