Lisandro Martinez sets target for rest of Manchester United season

Lisandro Martinez has admitted Manchester United crashing out of the Champions League made him disappointed and he has warned his teammates must now look to win every game for the remainder of the season.

United crashed out of the Champions League after winning just one match, which meant they finished bottom of Group A behind Galatasaray, FC Copenhagen and Bayern Munich.

United have regressed this season and Martinez's absence due to a foot injury, which he required further surgery for, has felt significant.

The defender is closing in on a January return from the sidelines and Martinez becoming available again will be a huge boost for United. Martinez has been interviewed by MUTV about his comeback in the New Year and he was asked about his values, which preceded him saying United must now win every game.

"I came from home a beautiful family, with big values, show respect, be humble, be grateful, appreciating every second of life," Martinez said.

"My father, my grandfather, my mum, a lot of people and from the beginning of my life my father said you can improve for everybody and he would say fight for your foot - he would always say that.
