Linda Pizzuti gives verdict on Liverpool win and shares behind scenes footage

FSG chief John Henry and Linda Pizzuti were fully involved in the celebrations at Wembley, as Liverpool won the League Cup for the ninth time in their history.

The Reds were victorious over Chelsea in dramatic circumstances, with Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga the only player to miss his penalty in the shootout.

It meant Liverpool were 11-10 victors on penalties after a 0-0 draw after extra time.

There was jubilation for those in red at Wembley as the Spain international leathered his penalty over the crossbar and that relief was shared by the club owner and his wife.

Linda posted a video on Instagram documenting the day, including the winning moment in front of the assembled Liverpool support.

She then shared footage of the trophy lift from the royal box at Wembley, with the players and the silverware within touching distance.

Linda also posted a clip of her husband talking to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on the touchline at Wembley, before she was able to get her hands on the trophy herself.

Alongside the video on Instagram, Linda wrote: "0-0. Then 30 minutes of overtime. Then penalty kicks. Then more penalty kicks, and finally, Liverpool takes the trophy for a record-breaking 9th time."

A little later on, Linda also joked on Twitter about a conga celebration in the dressing room.

"And it was a great conga" was her response on Twitter when it posed by a fan that she was involved in a conga line with the Liverpool players and Klopp.
