Liam Fox to land new Hearts deal after knocking back Hibs as Steven Naismith thinks longer term

Hearts will hand Liam Fox a new deal after he snubbed Hibs.

Record Sport revealed Hibs boss David Gray wanted the Jambos B coach to become his assistant. But Tynecastle chiefs were keen to keep former Dundee United boss Fox and offered him a new deal. Gray will now need to go back to the drawing board but is looking to bring in Liam Craig as first-team coach and Craig Samson to train the goalkeepers.

Fox will remain in charge of the Jambos B team for their upcoming Lowland League campaign. However, gaffer Steven Naismith has been getting him involved with the first team on occasion and Fox is happy to extend his stay with his boyhood club. Hearts, meanwhile, have made former Hamilton keeper Ryan Fulton their fourth summer signing. The 28-year-old will be back-up for Scotland keeper Zander Clark and Craig Gordon and joins fellow new boys Yan Dhanda, Blair Spittal and James Penrice in Gorgie.
