Lewis Hamilton slams Mercedes car as 'so slow' during miserable Chinese Grand Prix qualifying run

Lewis Hamilton slammed hs Mercedes car as "so slow" in a miserable qualifying session for the Chinese grand Prix.

The Brit will start 18th on the grid at the Shanghai International Circuit, with Red Bull rival Max verstappen on poll. Hamilton's final season with the German giants is not going to plan as they sit a distant fourth on the Constructor's Championship with Hamilton ninth in the Driver's Championship ahead of his switch to Ferrari.

And he'll be glad to see the back of the car he's currently in. Hamilton couldn't hide his frustration during qualifying. With the safety car out and the seven-time world champions stuck behind Alpine, he relayed to his team over the radio: "I can't even catch him, mate. This car is so slow." That was far from Hamilton's only complaint, adding: "The car is just sliding around everywhere. I don't know, it just feels like something is broken. It's probably just this balance. It's really bad."
