'Outrageous' scenes as drunk knife-wielding man runs down driveway and screams 'I'm going to kill you'

A drunken man ran down his driveway with a knife and screamed 'I'm going to kill you' to a group of people outside his home.

Andrew Colley asked one girl 'do you want a stabbing as well?' as he ran towards the group with a knife after an 'argument' the previous day. She was left with knife wounds on her back in the frenzied incident, Hull Live reports.

She believed that the knife 'caught' her during the frightening confrontation when 'emotions were running high' after earlier problems, Hull Crown Court heard. Colley, 56, was given a suspended prison sentence after the 'outrageous' and 'disgraceful' scenes.

Matthew Moore-Taylor, prosecuting, said that, the day before the incident, Colley became involved in an argument involving others after he had been drinking all day. He told a girl: "You need to f*** ing shut up" before throwing a cigarette at her.

The next day, a group of people were outside the house and an argument broke out. Colley appeared on the scene and he shouted: "I'm going to kill you. I'm gonna stab and cut you up."

He had a knife in his hand and this left those who were present frightened. He seemed to have been drinking and he was slurring his words.

Colley warned that he was going to slash all the tyres of their car with the knife and he said: "Do you want a stabbing as well?" The group all ran back to the car and the male driver tried to drive off.

"While reversing, there was a collision with another car, which caused some damage to the mirror of that car," said Mr Moore-Taylor. "However, they were not able to stop as the defendant was running towards them still holding the knife."
