Lewis Hamilton sends video of support to Lionesses ahead of Euro 2022 final
Lewis Hamilton has sent a message of support to the Lionesses ahead of the Euro 2022 final this Sunday.
The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion recorded a heartfelt video message, thanking the England team for being “inspirational” and stressing that he was looking forward to watching the match.
Hamilton is currently in Budapest for the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend but the race is scheduled to finish before the final starts, meaning the Brit may be able to tune into the action at Wembley live.

In the message, which was shared via the Sky Sports WSL Twitter account, Hamilton wishes Sarina Wiegman’s side “all the best” as they bid to make history this Sunday.
“This is a message to the Lionesses,” he says. “I wanted to send a short message just to say thank you so much for all the incredible, inspirational work you’re doing.
“Everything you’re doing is so empowering for young girls out there and for young people in general. It’s so inspiring.
“So I want to wish you all the best for the final. I’m not going to say it’s coming home because that adds pressure, but you guys know what to do.
“All the best, I’ll be watching and supporting from Budapest.”
