Lewis Hamilton's overtake at the Brazilian GP as a rookie was so good it's gone viral again

Lewis Hamilton is the greatest Formula One driver of all time, winning seven World Championships since his debut in 2007.

He won his maiden world crown in his second season in the sport after narrowly missing out in his rookie season by just a point to Kimi Raikkonen.

The Brit was showing his class from an early age, producing arguably the greatest rookie season the sport has ever seen and will ever see.

Hamilton produced a moment of magic at the Brazilian Grand Prix back in 2007 on his first outing at the famous Interlagos circuit in Formula One.

Running into turn one, he was a long way off Rubens Barrichello before sending one up the inside heading into the Senna S, completing a daring and audacious overtake.

The commentators were in awe of the move from Hamilton, saying “oh my good lord, I can’t believe he did that, that was from so far away, that was ridiculous, that was unheard of.”

It truly was an overtake that lives long in the memory of Lewis Hamilton fans, to have the confidence to go for such a move in your debut season while you fight for a World Title shows tremendous courage.

The young driver may have narrowly missed out on the title that year, but he returned to Sao Paulo the following season to create an even more memorable moment.

It was the scene of his maiden World Crown, taking the title on the closing corners of the final lap. Home favourite Felipe Massa had already crossed the line and told he was World Champion by his team.
