Lewis Hamilton has fired back at a Twitter user over their gender-based criticism of Sky Sports reporter Naomi Schiff, who joined the broadcasting giant's coverage of Formula One races at the start of this year. Schiff previously made a name for herself in single-seater racing by winning the KTM X-Bow GT4 seven years ago before competing in the W Series back in 2019.
Schiff was poached by Sky Sports to join their team of F1 analysts earlier this year and has since been widely praised for her coverage of Grand Prix events, but was targeted on Tuesday by a since-deleted tweet which suggested that she did not earn her current broadcasting role on merit. Hamilton went on to chip in by insisting that Schiff is more than qualified to give her opinions on F1 as a former racing driver before highlighting the need to stamp
