ITV Coronation Street fans realise where they've seen cocktail barman as they predict Cathy exit twist

Some Coronation Street fans were left scratching their heads during the first trip of the week to Weatherfield as a new character made an appearance. Jim Fizz bounded into the Rovers Return after landlady Jenny Connor hired him for a cocktail masterclass. He had a captive audience in Jenny, barmaid Daisy Midgeley and Evelyn Plummer.

They were also joined by Cathy Matthews who was looking to let off some steam by chatting to her neighbours over a drink after storming out of The Kabin. She told Jenny, Daisy and Evelyn about her partner Brian's unromantic proposal after he once again tried to convince her that they should move to Cornwall.

Cathy already wasn't sold on the idea but has been left even more unconvinced after making a discovery. She revealed to the ladies that she had found letters that had been sent between Brian and his ex, Julie Carp. The character, played by Katy Cavanagh, was the long-lost sister of Eileen Grimshaw and appeared on the famous street from 2008 to 2015.

"To be honest, I don't even know what he's with me," Cathy said. "I found these letters, he'd been writing to Julie Carp. It was a while back when all of that trolling stuff was going on." As her neighbours tried to reassure her nothing was going on, she snapped back: "Answer me this, why is he even writing to her at all?

"He's obviously missed her and in fact, he said so. She even asked him if he'd ever thought of them getting back together." When asked what she said in response, Cathy replied: "I don't know what he replied, it was the last letter I found," to which Daisy said: "What a cliffhanger," upsetting her customer more.
