Lewis Hamilton bristles at Ferrari question and pundits talking 's**t' as Brit makes vow over switch

Lewis Hamilton has hit out at pundits speculating on his Ferrari move in a fiery exchange.

The seven-time world champion stunned the motorsport world when he announced his switch to Ferrari earlier this year, but it already looks like ebing a shrewd decision. While his former team Mercedes have endured a disastrous start to the season, Ferrari boast one win and four podiums to their name. However, the 39-year-old is frustrated with the ongoing chatter and speculation surrounding his move.

"I don't feel like I need my decision vindicating," he snapped, reports the Express. "I know what was right for me, and that hasn't changed since the moment that I made the decision. There has not been a moment where I questioned it, and I'm not swayed by other people's comments. Even today, there's people continuing to talk s**t and it will continue on for the rest of the year.

"And I'll have to just do what I did the previous time. Only you can know what's right for you and it will be an exciting time for me."

Hamilton will turn 40 before he makes his Ferrari debut in Melbourne next spring, but the legendary Brit has no plans to retire from F1 in the near future. He continued: "I'm going to be racing well into my forties so, yeah, it's no short-term thing.

"I'm going to be racing for quite some time still, so it's definitely good that [Fernando Alonso] is still around. I hope that he keeps going for a little bit longer as well."
