Lewis Capaldi takes in Aberdeen FC friendly as Alan Burrows makes 'fan boy' quip with pop star snap
Lewis Capaldi may be Celtic daft, but the pop sensation has widened his love of Scottish football all the way to Aberdeen.
The Dons were in action against Charlton Athletic at the Valley in South London as Barry Robson's men produced a solid pre-season result with captain Graeme Shinnie and Bojan Miovski on target in a 3-2 win. It's the ideal start before the Dons' Premiership opener against Livingston next weekend. And while on the pitch Robson's side produced the goods, Pittodrie chief Alan Burrows took the chance to snap a picture with the Someone You Loved star.
Capaldi has often been pictured alongside the big names in Scottish football, running in to Celtic star Liel Abada previously, and taking in games at Celtic Park when the opportunity presents itself. But the signer from Glasgow was in position in England's capital to watch the Dons in action, as he beamed alongside Burrows in a post-match selfie.
The Dons CEO posted to Instagram: "Lucky enough to meet this legend watching the Dons today…Top man @lewiscapaldi #FanBoy #ButNotAsMuchAsGunner." No doubt the 26-year-old will be raring to watch the new Brendan Rodgers era at Celtic when the champions kick off next week against Ross County.
