Leona Maguire and Olivia Mehaffey in mix as Diksha Dagar leads Irish Open

Diksha Dagar retains her lead at the halfway mark of the KPMG Women's Irish Open in Dromoland Castle with Irish pair Leona Maguire and Olivia Mehaffey six shots behind her.

Indian Dagar followed her opening-day 65 in Clare with a two-under 69 that was enough to take her to 10 under par, one shot clear of Dutchwoman Anne van Dam (66), American Gurleen Kaur (69) and France's Emma Grechi (69). Anne-Lise Caudal (68), also of France, is a shot further back in fifth.

Maguire and Mehaffey are in a share of 19th place after swapping scores from Thursday.

The Cavan woman improved on her opening round of 71 to card a 69 that featured an eagle on 16 in between three birdies.

Mehaffey was two over at the turn but holed three birdies on the back nine to finish on 71.

Leaderboard

Kate Lanigan (69) is one shot behind her compatriots on three under and Sara Byrne is on two under after shooting 68.

Emma Fleming and Beth Coulter (both 72) just made the cut on one over but Aine Donegan (74), Victoria Craig (75), Aideen Walsh (76) and Olivia Costello (78) will not be in action at the weekend.

Watch the KPMG Women's Irish Open all four days on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player, beginning 4pm on Thursday and Friday, Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 2.10pm.
