Leo Messi winning a penalty and giving it to Sergio Ramos is something we never thought we'd see
Paris Saint-Germain kickstarted their 2022/23 pre-season campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Ligue 2 outfit US Quevilly-Rouen Métropole on Friday afternoon.
The Christophe Galtier era at the club has got off to the perfect start and the new manager named a pretty strong lineup for his first match in charge.
Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Leandro Paredes and Mauro Icardi all started from the off.
It was Messi and Ramos – two old rivals from their Barcelona and Real Madrid days – who combined for the first goal.
The little Argentine genius that is Messi won a penalty for PSG in the 33rd minute of play and instead of opting to take it himself, he unselfishly handed it to Ramos.
Now, given their fiery El Clasico battles down the years, that is something we never thought we’d see on a football pitch.

But it really has happened and Ramos responded to Messi’s newfound generosity towards him by firing the ball into the bottom corner.
