Leinster to host Leicester at Aviva Stadium in April, Munster given early Sunday date with Saints

Leinster's Investec Champions Cup Round of 16 game against the Leicester Tigers will take place at the Aviva Stadium, with the game scheduled for an 8pm kick-off on Saturday, 6 April.

The dates and kick-off times for the last-16 games have been confirmed by EPCR, with Leinster opting to move their meeting with the Tigers to the 51,700 Aviva Stadium rather than the RDS.

The game will be shown live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.

The province were 27-10 winners against Dan McKellar's side in the final round of pool games last Saturday, which sets up a repeat pairing in the Round of 16.

Leinster also hosted the Tigers in the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup last season, while they won away to the Premiership side in the last-eight in 2022.

The pair will also know their potential quarter-final opponent in advance, with the Stormers and La Rochelle kicking off their meeting at 3pm (Irish time) in Cape Town.

Munster are also set for a rematch in the last-16, with Graham Rowntree's side travelling to Northampton Saints, whom they were beaten by 26-23 on Saturday evening.

The pair have been given the early lunchtime slot on Sunday 7 April, which will start at 12.30pm.

The winner of that tie will go up against either the Bulls or Lyon, who meet in Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, in the Challenge Cup Round of 16, both Ulster and Connacht will both play their knockout ties on Sunday 7 April.

Ulster will play at the same time as Munster, with a 12.30pm (Irish time) kick-off for their clash with Montpellier in France, while Connacht will be away to Pau with a 5.30pm (Irish time) start.
