Leinster sweating on Ciarán Frawley rib injury
Leinster out-half Ciarán Frawley suffered a rib injury in Saturday's Champions Cup win over Stade Francais but hasn’t been ruled out of next weekend’s clash at Leicester.
The 26-year-old was taken off at the start of the second half in the 43-7 victory and replaced by Sam Prendergast, who made his ninth Leinster appearance.
"Ciarán Frawley picked up a rib injury during the Stade Francis game and will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made on selection," said the province.
Head coach Leo Cullen is also hopeful that Harry Byrne is available for the trip to Welford Road. The out-half picked up an ankle injury in training and will also be assessed during the week.
Out-half Ross Byrne remains out with an arm injury.
Prop Michael Milne picked up a calf injury last week and will be unavailable for selection this week, while lock James Ryan came through the game with no issues following a short lay-off.
There were no further updates on: Jimmy O'Brien (neck), Martin Moloney (bicep), Alex Soroka (foot), Charlie Ngatai (calf), Cormac Foley (shoulder), and Jamie Osborne (shoulder)
Ireland head coach Andy Farrell is due to name is Six Nations training squad on Wednesday afternoon.
