Leicester City fans are all sending Gareth Southgate the same message after England thumping

England boss Gareth Southgate has been slammed for his decision not to call up Leicester City star James Maddison.

The Three Lions were thumped 4-0 at home to Hungary at Molineux on Tuesday evening as they concluded their disastrous international break with no victories in four games.

After losing in Budapest, England were held by Germany and Italy before suffering their biggest defeat since 1928 against the 40th-ranked side in the world table.

In the game, Southgate deployed a 4-3-3 system with Jarrod Bowen and Bukayo Saka flanking Harry Kane in attack. However, they managed only two attempts on target all evening and were punished for their lack of creativity by Marco Rossi's men.

One man who wasn't included in the latest England squad was City playmaker Maddison. The Foxes man registered the highest goal contribution as an Englishman in the Premier League last season, with 30 goals.

Maddison finished the campaign with four goals and three assists in the final four games and looked certain to receive a call-up to the Three Lions squad. However, he didn't but fellow team-mate James Justin was included.

As the nation reacted to England's horrendous performance, Three Lions fans have all been saying the same thing regarding Maddison. Here's what they have had to say...

For England's saving grace, hope that Gareth Southgate reconsiders his choices, takes and starts James Maddison and Alexander-Arnold at the World Cup, the only two players that can offer something different in terms of technical ability, skill and creativity, that can change a game.

England have been awful over the past four games, have to get Maddison into the next squad.
