Leeds United supporters react to Jesse Marsch decision as line-up for Crystal Palace confirmed

Jesse Marsch has named his starting lineup for this morning’s clash with Crystal Palace at the Optus Stadium in what will be the final game of the pre-season Australia tour. Leeds United will be keen to record win number two Down Under following the 2-1 win against Brisbane last Thursday and Sunday’s defeat to Aston Villa.

The big news is that Luis Sinisterra makes his first start in a Leeds shirt, with many Whites fans hopeful of seeing the magic that prompted the club to spend £22million to bring him in. Leeds boss Marsch has also opted to start Pascal Struijk at left-back in his latest bid to nail down a stand-in for the injured Junior Firpo.

Summer signings Rasmus Kristensen, Tyler Adams and Brenden Aaronson will also all start this morning, with Jack Harrison in the lineup despite speculation of a move to Newcastle United - speculation which has been quickly refuted by Marsch.

Fans will be happy also to see Archie Gray on the bench following his nasty-looking injury against Villa.

And after the lineup was released, Leeds fans took to Twitter to have their say.

@JDLUFC Tweeted: Add roca and firpo when he returns and this team pushes for top half

@Townend1919 said: So the use of struijk at LB begins again just hurry up and bring one in we cant have another season of square pegs round holes

@EnthisiastLeeds tweeted: If Forshaw keeps playing the way he is he might start against Wolves

@Jonathanpric3 said: Roca for Forshaw and Firpo for Llorente and I’d say that’s our strongest team

@UnitedLeeds_1 tweeted: Good to see Hjelde & Gray back on the bench. The subs looking alot stronger more squad depth than last season.
