Leeds United player tipped to seal Championship exit
Leeds United player Jamie Shackleton is ‘expected’ to head to the Championship in one capacity or another this summer, according to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Whites are obviously aiming to add to their side themselves this summer as they prepare for another season of Premier League football but we could see a fair few exits in this transfer window along the way as well.
Indeed, according to the YEP, the Whites are open to a number of their younger players moving on either on loan or in a permanent capacity, and Shackleton is one of those.
According to the report, the Championship is his likely destination and though there are currently no clubs being named, the report states an exit from Leeds is on the cards this summer, and it could be either temporary or permanent.
The Verdict
Shackleton is a player that will want to be featuring regularly next season and if that cannot happen at Leeds then it makes sense for him to move on.
He’s got the quality to be a hit at the right club and Championship football could suit him and his energetic style.
This feels like one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks before the new EFL season begins.
