Leeds United 'offered' Paris Saint-Germain defender to answer Jesse Marsch transfer call

Leeds United have been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa, according to Media Foot. Kurzawa, who has also reportedly been offered to Leeds' Premier League rivals Everton, is not considered part of PSG's long-term plans, and his relationship with the club appears to be at a point of no return.

The 29-year-old is vastly experienced, having made 152 appearances for PSG, winning 18 trophies with the French giants, and playing 95 games for AS Monaco before that. The defender has also been capped 13 times by France.

In June 2020, Kurzawa signed a four-year deal with PSG, but opportunities have been limited since then. Last season, he didn't make a single appearance in Ligue 1 or the Champions League.

The Whites could bring in a left-back this summer, with Junior Firpo set to miss the first month of the Premier League season with injury. Jesse Marsch admitted at his press conference in Perth, Australia, this morning that a left-back along with a forward were on his list of further transfer targets.

Jack Harrison, linked with Newcastle United, has been tried at left-back during pre-season, while Marsch has admitted that 22-year-old Leif Davis is essentially 'on trial' ahead of the new campaign.

Davis spent last season on loan at AFC Bournemouth, and League One side Ipswich Town are keen to sign the defender this summer.

Marsch wants to bring a striker to Elland Road before the transfer window shuts, but a left-back could also be on his list.
