Leeds United news as Chris Sutton outlines doomsday transfer scenario plus fresh Arsenal push

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has questioned Leeds United’s decision to potentially allow both Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha to leave this summer. Phillips is on the verge of sealing a £42 million switch to Manchester City, while Raphinha also looks destined to depart in the coming weeks.

The duo are widely regarded as Leeds’ two best players and Victor Orta will have an enormous task to plug the gaps their departures will leave. Speaking on BBC Radio 5Live Sport, Sutton believes the Whites now have a lot of work to do to ensure their squad is up to the required level.

He said: “What about Kalvin Phillips from Leeds to Manchester City, where does that leave Leeds? Their best two players look like they are away. Jesse Marsch came in and he kept them up. But that’s not a good look.
