Leeds United news as Chelsea eye potential Raphinha alternative and Roberts set for loan exit

Chelsea have reportedly identified Burnley’s Maxwel Cornet as a potential to Leeds United winger Raphinha. That is according to talkSPORT, who claim that Cornet has emerged as a target after he netted nine goals for Burnley last season despite their relegation.

Chelsea agreed a fee in the region of £60 million for Raphinha earlier this week, though a deal has not yet been finalised. This is because the Brazilian is continuing to hold out for a move to Barcelona, who are still trying to come to an agreement with Leeds.

Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts is reportedly set for a loan exit with Hull City and Queens Park Rangers interested. That is according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, who claim Roberts is set to be allowed to leave this summer with QPR currently fronting the queue for his signature.

A loan with a potential permanent option upon promotion appears the most likely scenario at this stage, and a deal could be tied up as early as next week ahead of Leeds’ pre-season trip to Australia. Roberts made 23 appearances in the Premier League last season, though several of those came as a substitute.
