Leeds United confirm five new contracts for next generation of talent coming out of Thorp Arch

Five teenagers have signed their first professional contracts with Leeds United. Will Brook, Keenan Carole, Cuba Diboe, Harvey Sutcliffe and Luca Thomas have all put pen to paper at Elland Road.

While Brook has signed a one-year deal, the other four have agreed to contracts which will expire in 2024. Sutcliffe may be the best known of the quintet to Leeds fans after exposure with the under-23s last season.

The 18-year-old, who can play on the right or left of defence, appeared 11 times in Premier League 2 under Mark Jackson and Andrew Taylor. Meanwhile, Carole’s name may stand out because of his father.

Sebastien Carole, now 39, played for the Whites between 2006 and 2008. His son, 17, plays down either wing and featured regularly for the under-18s last season.

Thomas, 17, is a striker who notched 15 goals in 17 matches for the under-18s last term. Diboe, 17, is a right-back, while Brook, 18, is a goalkeeper.

The club is yet to confirm who the under-21 manager will be next season, but they will play a significant role in bringing these new professionals through to become regulars at that level across the coming seasons.
