Leeds: Marsch could make 'two late signings' at Elland Road

Leeds United could add a back-up goalkeeper and a left-back to Jesse Marsch’s first-team squad ‘later in the window’, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.

The Whites have been very active in the opening month or so of the summer market but could still make further additions ahead of its closure at the end of August.

Marsch has seen star performers Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips depart Elland Road for Barcelona and Manchester City, respectively, in what is his first window at the helm.

However, the American tactician has wasted no time in replacing the talented duo, bringing in several exciting acquisitions.

Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen have arrived from Marsch’s former side Red Bull Salzburg, and he has also been reunited with a familiar face in Tyler Adams, who joined from RB Leipzig.

Central midfielder Marc Roca has been brought in from German giants Bayern Munich to replace Phillips’ passing range while winger Luis Sinisterra has joined from Feyenoord.

Teenager Darko Gyabi has also made the switch to Leeds from Premier League champions City, meaning Marsch has certainly made his mark in west Yorkshire.

Jacobs believes that Leeds could still look to add some further strength in depth to their setup as they prepare for another gruelling Premier League campaign.

He told GiveMeSport: “A back-up keeper, even with Kristoffer Klaesson still at the club, and perhaps a left-back could potentially be added later in the window.

“Jesse Marsch will assess during pre-season first. Junior Firpo is the only senior left-back at the club, so it would certainly make sense to bring in cover.”
