Leeds fans 'might be surprised by level of player' that now arrives at Elland Road

Leeds United supporters ‘might be surprised’ by the stars Jesse Marsch will look to welcome to Elland Road during the summer window, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Marsch was appointed as the Whites’ head coach in February and he could look to freshen up the squad he inherited from predecessor Marcelo Bielsa.

According to Football Insider, RB Leipzig central defender Josko Gvardiol has been a long-term target for Leeds and the Yorkshire giants are set to head to the negotiating table.

Meanwhile, Marsch is reportedly keen to sign fellow Americans Brenden Aaronson and Sergino Dest, who are currently on the books of Red Bull Salzburg and Barcelona respectively.

Spanish sources have revealed Barcelona have considered offering right-back Dest as part of a deal which would take Leeds winger Raphinha to the Nou Camp.

The transfer insider feels the upcoming change of ownership, which will see 49ers Enterprises gain 100 per cent control of the Premier League side by January 2024, could also have an impact on the Whites’ summer plans.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “I think we might be surprised by the level of player that they end up signing in the summer.

“They know that they’ve got to get a lot, lot
