Leeds: 74-goal duo 'on Jesse Marsch's radar' at Elland Road

Leeds United have Arnaud Kalimuendo and Martin Terrier on their ‘radar’ as they look to strengthen their attacking options, according to Sky Sports reporter Tim Thornton.

The Whites have already made significant additions to Jesse Marsch’s first-team squad this summer but a new striker is yet to arrive at the club.

French outlet Media Foot previously stated that Kalimuendo was one of several players placed on the transfer list by Paris Saint-Germain’s new sporting director Luis Campos.

However, 90min now claim that Leeds’ move for the 20-year-old has stalled after he impressed new PSG manager Christophe Galtier in pre-season.

It’s believed that Campos held talks with the west Yorkshire outfit’s hierarchy over a £20 million move, but that has been halted due to Galtier taking a closer look and several other sides registering their interest.

Meanwhile, L’Equipe (via TEAMtalk) have revealed that Stade Rennais attacker Terrier is another player who Leeds have been taking a close look at.

The Athletic’s Phil Hay has disclosed that the 25-year-old will cost Leeds in excess of £30m after he enjoyed an outstanding 2021/22 campaign with the Ligue 1 side.

When asked about Leeds’ stance towards Kalimuendo and Terrier, who have a combined 74 career goals, Thornton informed GiveMeSport potential deals hinge on a number of factors.

In an interview with GMS, he said: “They’ve got a number of options; you’ve mentioned two of them there.

“And they’re both players that will be on Leeds’ radar, but it’s whether they can get deals done, whether they’re prepared to go to the figures that they need to go to to get those players. And whether they can beat off competition as well.”
