Lee Clark: Newcastle United can take advantage of Leicester's win or bust tie against PSV Eindhoven

Newcastle can still take advantage against Leicester despite the Foxes' good record after trips abroad. We know that Leicester have not shown signs of fatigue when they've played in Europe. They have a massive game against PSV Eindhoven in the Europa Conference League and win, lose or draw I think they will have spent the week focused on the Dutch giants.

Their minds will have been over in Holland and then there is the travel aspect to think about to. I think they will go all out to win against PSV and won't worry too much about Sunday.

In the past rounds that will have been different because you are in a group scenario. And they will have had one eye on their Premier League fixtures with the results showing, not least the 4-0 win against Newcastle just 48 hours after City played against Napoli in Italy.

But I think the win or bust nature of Leicester's game against PSV might just drain them a bit. Especially as Eddie loves to get on the front foot and Leicester may have physical issues with their game tonight. Let's hope that plays into our hands.

The performance was very important overall, the first half was a little bit cagey aside from the move that we all hoped had led to Chris Wood's goal at the Leazes End. OK, it was disallowed but it was a great move involving Miguel Almiron, Bruno and Wood.

I thought the team looked very solid though and when you are going in on the back of a 5-1 defeat against Tottenham, to be solid and win 1-0 on a night like that was vital. Eddie Howe would have been very pleased especially given Martin Dubravka had to wait about 45-50 minutes before touching the ball with his hands.
