Leaked Newcastle United training kit features St James’ Park, Tyne Bridge and other landmarks

A leaked image containing Newcastle United’s potential training kit next season is proving a hit with supporters. A light blue number featuring St James’ Park, the Tyne Bridge, the Millenium Bridge and the Theatre Royal has gone viral on social media.

When Castore were announced as the Magpies’ kit supplier last year, the British sports manufacturer promised “bespoke” designs unique to the Newcastle brand. Template cut-and-paste jobs from other clubs promised to be banished to history, with United receiving five-star treatment and attention to detail.

A training kit featuring iconic Tyneside landmarks stays true to that pledge and fans are already drooling over the design online. This is how Toon fans reacted to the yet-to-be-confirmed shirt.

: Now that is just beautiful #NUFC

: Never have I wanted a top more than I do this. It's gorgeous, stunning and invokes the pride of your team and city. Just another piece of brilliance from the owners

: OH MY DAYS THAT IS GORGEOUS #NUFC

: Take my money!!!

: Sorry in advance to my bank account.

: If this is true, take my money right now!

: Would be a very nice alt kit if it didn’t have a sponsor. Hopefully it’s got good town bars on the back.

: Well played whoever designed that! That will fly off the shelves

: This is unreal! Whether it’s true or not they need something like this
