League Two side snap up Hull City summer signing as reshuffle continues at pace

George Moncur's short spell at Hull City has come to an end after he negotiated an exit from his two-year MKM Stadium contract. The midfielder, who was Grant McCann's first signing of last summer following promotion from League One, has agreed to join League Two side Leyton Orient on a three-year contract.

Moncur endured a nightmare start to his career at City last season when he was sent off on his full home Championship debut in the 3-0 defeat to QPR which saw him miss three games through suspension, and though he returned to the fold under McCann, it was a very different story after Shota Arveladze's arrival in mid-January.

A solitary appearance off the bench in the defeat to Fulham was his final outing in the black and amber, and though he was named on the bench in four consecutive games, the 28-year-old who left Luton Town before moving to East Yorkshire, was not involved in the final 11 games of the season and a move in this window seemed likely, particularly after Arveladze called into question his desire to win back his place in the squad.

"George is one who I really like as a football player," the City boss told Hull Live when asked about his absence. "He's a great lad, he's always smiling and is a good kid. I've talked to him two or three times as well as during the training sessions. He's somebody who is a pleasure to be around.

"The only thing which I'm not happy with him for is the fact he's too happy with his position that he's not playing. He doesn't get mad or angry and doesn't want to change things (to get himself back in the team).

"He never comes to me to talk (and ask why he's not in the team). He should be coming to me and saying 'gaffer, why am I only playing five or 10 minutes and sometimes I'm
