Every player to be linked to Blackpool this transfer window as Appleton awaits first arrival

Blackpool are yet to make a signing so far this summer transfer window.

The switch in Head Coach from Neil Critchley to Michael Appleton undoubtedly caused delay on the incomings front but now the new boss has the chance to shape the squad in his own mould. As of yet, there has been no business done at Bloomfield Road but as July is soon upon us and the pre-season campaign beginning against Southport on Saturday - that will naturally start to ramp up.

There are a number of areas where it is apparent the Seasiders need to address, namely central midfield, an area they have targeted in the last two windows missing out on the likes of Cameron Brannagan and Oliver Norburn in the process. Right back will likely be another area of concern given Dujon Sterling has returned to Chelsea following the end of his loan spell.

Ebou Adams was a key target for Blackpool before Critchley departed but Adams opted to join Cardiff City over the Seasiders on a free transfer from Forest Green Rovers at the end of his contract. Blackpool also opted against triggering Charlie Kirk's option to buy from Charlton, a fee believed to be around the £500,000 mark.

Here is every player to have been linked with a move to Blackpool so far who haven't already moved elsewhere.

McGrandles was linked with a move to Scotland but that has since cooled and he is another player on Blackpool's radar. Another Lincoln City man on the linked list, the arrival of Michael Appleton will likely only serve to strengthen the Seasiders chances of bringing McGrandles in - with his contract expiring this summer.

McGrandles was offered a new deal with the Imps but opted to turn it down as he looks to explore other options and at 26-years-old he will be heading into his prime
