Tottenham Hotspur growing in confidence of signing Richarlison from Everton

Tottenham Hotspur are growing in confidence that they can seal a deal to sign Richarlison from Everton with the player keen on joining Antonio Conte’s squad.

Richarlison’s preference to make the move to Spurs is seen as a key development as the clubs attempt to find an agreement over a fee and deal.

As reported by Telegraph Sport, Tottenham have tried to tempt Everton into taking players such as Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura as part of a deal, while Everton's interest in signing Harry Winks on loan has also been mentioned in negotiations.

Bergwijn wants to move to Ajax, while Moura is not pushing to leave Spurs so the most likely scenario remains that Richarlison will move for a straight fee.

Everton value Richarlison at over £50million, but Tottenham could bring the fee down by writing off add-ons they agreed as part of Dele Alli’s free transfer move in January. Everton are due to pay Spurs £10m once the former England international has made 20 appearances for the club and there are other performance-related add-ons.

Tottenham’s negotiations to sign Richarlison have also been bolstered by Chelsea’s move to sign Raphinha from Leeds United, with the belief that is likely to eliminate the threat of the Stamford Bridge club attempting to hijack the deal.

There had been concerns within Spurs over Chelsea’s interest in Richarlison, but new owner Todd Boehly is pushing ahead with moves for Raphinha and Raheem Sterling while Tottenham and Everton negotiate over Raphinha.

Those talks are now likely to accelerate with Spurs keen to add Richarlison to Conte’s squad as quickly as possible and complete what would be their fourth transfer of the summer window.
