League of Legends Champions Queue: Everything You Need to Know

Many fans of League of Legends might have seen Champions Queue pop-up recently with some questioning what it could be.

It was decided by the LCS which is the LoL Championship Series for North America, that they would set up essentially a Solo Queue for the top players across the entire continent.

Currently, Champions Queue is only open to LCS, academy players, top 16 teams, LCS alumni and players from the Liga Latinoamérica, with plans in place to expand to high-level players when it becomes publicly available.

Here is everything you need to know about Champions Queue:

Champions Queue will be active daily from 2 pm to 9 am GMT and from 6 pm to 9 pm GMT on Mondays.

It will be conducted through an invite-only discord server which will feature “automatic lobby creation, player invites, communication channels and match result reporting, all held on a Tournament Realm that runs alongside the live patch”.

Players who wish to take part will also be required to pass a behaviour check in order to keep toxicity out of the competition.

Players can also be kicked out if they have a poor performance by the council who will also be keeping an eye on all of the high ranking players that they let in whose Champion Pools will also be a deciding factor.

The Champions Queue will work with the following prizes and rules:

The leaderboard is available to view on League of Legends eSports.

The Council will be made up of pro players, amateurs, LCS team staff, the LCSPA and segments of the Riot development team.

The spring season will run from 7th February to May 23rd, with each split being around one month with a week break in between.
