League of Legends 12.9 Preview: Everything You Need to Know

League of Legends Patch 12.5 is expected to go live in-game on Tuesday, May 10th 2022, and now the Preview for the patch has been revealed by Riot Games.

RiotPhlox is usually the Riot employee that confirms what is set to come, but it is @RiotPhroxzon on this occasion that has revealed the changes that will be coming to the title when the 12.9 Patch is finally uploaded.

There is a range of buffs and nerfs to Champions such as Hecarim, Varus, Braum, Thresh, Renger and Master Yi.

@RiotPhroxzonalso confirmed the following with regards to the changes as part of Patch 12.9 and why Riot is making the above amendments to the game.

He wrote: “In light of the upcoming durability changes, we’re going light on balance changes in this patch. 

“The 12.10 changes are intended to increase durability, which has a greater effect on burstier champions. We’re holding off on adjusting most of those champions this patch as a result.”

Fans of the game have been reacting on Twitter to the changes that will be coming to the game since they were revealed by Riot.

One fan questioned by Riot is nerfing Nida and Ahri, tweeting: “Why are you nerfing Nida and Ahri, who are 2 burst characters right now, then? Just curious, I do understand they need a nerf, but wouldn’t it be better to wait for the next few patches?”
