Lawrence Shankland RATES Hibs missiles in hilarious social media post as Hearts striker continues penalty trolling

Lawrence Shankland has RATED the objects launched at him by Hibs fans during the Edinburgh derby.

The Hearts striker was pelted with missiles from the away end behind the goal at Tynecastle's Roseburn end as he waited to take a penalty. The Hibees were angry after Kevin Clancy adjudged Will Fish to have fouled Kenneth Vargas in the box, and stuck by his original decision despite VAR calling him over to the monitor for a second look.

But Shankland became the target as objects rained down, with Hibs keeper David Marshall also in the firing line. The Easter Road No.1, Shankland and Scott Fraser removed debris from the penalty box three times before the spot kick could be taken. And Shankland came up with the perfect response, slamming into the top corner before standing arms out in celebration, then taking a bite of a chucked pie before throwing it back.

And he's now trolled his tormentors further by rating the items thrown at him. As well as the pie, they included a corkscrew for opening wine and a pair of Apple airpods and coins and disposable vapes.

Sharing images of his celebrations on his Instagram story, Shankland captioned the post with his own take on what was propelled his way. And he clearly wasn't a fan of the cuisine served up.

It read: "Some sort of spicy pie - 1/10. AirPods - expensive throw. Bottle opener - glad it missed. Pen - top bins."
