Lawrence Shankland in frank transfer confession as former Dundee United star maps out future after relegation

Former Dundee United star Lawrence Shankland doesn't expect to leave Beerschot this summer.

The Belgian top-flight side have endured a torrid season which resulted in their relegation with two months of the season remaining.

The Scotland striker has netted five times for his club but has been able to help them clear of danger as they get set for life in the second flight.

But ex- United striker Shankland insists he isn't ready to walk away even if he is signature would be in high demand in the Premiership if he decided to move on.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: “I signed a three year contract at Beerschot without a release clause if we should go down.
