Law and District AAC athletes excel in qualifying and record good times

Law and District AAC athlete Jessica Inglis finished 23rd overall in the U17/20 6k while representing Scotland at the British Cross Country Challenge in London.

Inglis was also ninth under-17 women at the event at Parliament Hill.

Scottish champion hill runner Angela Mudge said: “The London course was rough underfoot and the hilly laps provided some tough racing in very chilly conditions.”

Several runners were competing indoors at Ayr Athletic Arena in Scottish National Championship heats, with under-15 Jack Duffin, U20 Sophie Evans and U15 Cara Murphy all successfully qualifying for the 60m finals at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow next weekend.

Also qualifying were U17s Owen Murphy, Lauren McNair and Tehillah Ikechukwu-Okonkwo and under-15 runner Luke Evans.

The tournament takes place at the Glasgow indoor stadium on February 16 and 17.
