Laurent Blanc has already told Manchester United what they'll be getting in Adrien Rabiot

Former Manchester United centre-back Laurent Blanc has previously warned that people need to know how to 'manage' France international Adrien Rabiot amid the Reds' interest in his signature.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News on Monday, United have agreed a fee with Juventus in principle to bring the central-midfielder to Old Trafford. United are desperate to add to their midfield options ahead of the transfer window closing next month and believe Rabiot will be an upgrade on their current options.

The club remains hopeful of landing top target Frenkie de Jong before the transfer window closes but have accepted that they must keep their options open. It is almost three months since United opened talks with Barcelona to sign the Netherlands international, highlighting how long that particular saga has been dragging on.

Rabiot is out of contract at Juventus next summer and the Italian giants have significantly strengthened their midfield options over the last 12 months, most recently re-signing Paul Pogba following his exit from Old Trafford. Rabiot joined Juventus from French giants Paris Saint-Germain back in 2019.

Following confirmation of his arrival in Turin three years ago, former France centre-back Blanc, who had managed Rabiot while in charge of PSG, explained what the Serie A giants would be getting from their newest addition. While he praised his qualities as a player, he hinted at his attitude problems that have never been too far away from conversations about him.
