Laurence Fox issues statement as GB News suspend him for 'unacceptable' comments about female journalist

Laurence Fox has issued a statement after he made a series of 'unacceptable' remarks about a female journalist on GB News.

A clip of the comments, which have prompted a number of complaints to the media regulator Ofcom , have been viewed more than 2.1 million times, prompting a backlash including from MPs.

Fox made a series of remarks about Ava Evans, the political correspondent for online news site Joe, including describing her as a 'little woman' during an episode of Dan Wootton Tonight on Tuesday.

Ms Evans shared a clip on social media site X, formerly known as Twitter, with the caption 'Laurence Fox just did a whole speech on GB News on why men apparently won't shag me?'
